The Dominican Pillars

Four standards of life.
One formed character.

St. Catherine's is built on the Dominican values that have guided the Order for eight centuries. They are not themes we teach — they are the standards by which we live.

Pillar I

Study

Veritas — Truth

Truth, pursued through rigor and wonder. Nine honors courses and seven Advanced Placement offerings challenge every student to think deeply.

Pillar II

Prayer

Ora pro nobis

Woven through the day — morning announcements, student-led services, monthly liturgies, and blessings that begin every class.

Pillar III

Service

Caritas omnium

Every Angel completes service each semester. Our annual Day With A Purpose places 500 students into Racine in one week.

Pillar IV

Community

Communitas fidelis

A packed student section. A mentoring senior. An alumni network sixteen thousand strong. You are never alone at St. Cat's.

By the Numbers

Excellence, measured.

A Day in the Life

What becoming an Angel looks like.

Academics
"The iPad, the seminar table, and the tradition of inquiry."

An iPad, a seminar, and a tradition of inquiry.

Every Angel completes curriculum on an Apple iPad — a commitment we've held since 2010, when we launched one of the nation's first 1:1 programs. Inside our $1.2 million renovated science wing sit the SC Johnson STEM Lab and the Perez Makerspace.

Outside our doors, partnerships with Marquette, UW–Madison, St. Norbert, and others translate AP credit into real college progress.

Faith & Service
"Campus Ministry is not a program — it is the atmosphere."

A faith that is practiced,
not merely professed.

Campus Ministry at St. Catherine's is not a program — it is the atmosphere. Weekly student-led prayer services. Monthly all-school Masses. Senior retreats at Wonderland Camp.

And every April, our Day With A Purpose sends freshmen through seniors into Racine for over two thousand hours of service in a single week.

Our Faith Life

Athletics
"Go Angels — a training ground for character."

Go Angels.
Eighteen programs, one community.

Competing in the Metro Classic Conference — and Southern Lakes for swim & dive — we field eighteen varsity sports across three seasons.

From Friday-night football to varsity tennis to the legendary McGuire-Letsch Golf Scramble, athletics here is a training ground for character.
